Let’s talk about a little magic that our bees produce called PROPOLIS and what this means for you and your family.

Propolis is a fascinating substance that bees produce by mixing their saliva and beeswax with sap or nectar from trees & plants. It has a wide range of benefits, including natural antimicrobial effects, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory properties.

When I think of my own children, bee propolis has many potential benefits, in particular it helps to boost their immune systems. Propolis contains high levels of antioxidants, which helps to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are all over the place, in the water we drink, foods we eat, the soil we walk on, air we breathe and even electro-frequency through the earpods we wear listening to music. Any ways to eradicate free radicals interests me. As propolis also contains flavonoids, which have anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties, we also see evidence of antimicrobial properties. This simply can help to protect against bacterial and viral infections too. Sign me up please!

Another potential benefit of bee propolis for our kids is its ability to help with respiratory issues. It may help to reduce inflammation and irritation in the respiratory tract, which alleviates symptoms of conditions such as asthma and allergies. Research has found that propolis can help to reduce the number of exacerbations and symptoms in asthmatic children and adults as well. I will continue to suggest taking Bee propolis as a consideration to help ease these chronic ailments involving the throat, mouth and nose as well. I have been known to chew or stick a hunk of propolis on the roof of my mouth for a sore tooth or bleeding gums.

Furthermore, research studies suggested that propolis may have beneficial effects on skin conditions and may help to reduce the symptoms of eczema and other forms of dermatitis. Got a pimple, dry skin spot or rash that won’t go away? Try a little dab or a spray containing a natural fair amount of this healing agent. It has also been found to be effective in the treatment of minor burns and wounds. I kid you not, I slathered on a thin layer of my bee’s propolis after burning my neck with a curling iron, the swelling and red mark disappeared after about an hour.

It is important to note that bee propolis should be used with caution in children who are allergic to bee stings or honey. Also, it is recommended to consult a healthcare professional before giving bee propolis to children or using it in any form, as safe dosages for children may vary depending on the child’s age and weight, and overall health condition.
